Got to Network & Internet > Change adapter options > Right click your network device > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Change DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

If you are having the issues I've been having all day where Forza crashed on startup, ended up unistalling it and then got errors trying to install on the store. IF neither of these worked for you I have included other fix/s that I had seen on Reddit posted by another user called "Yogivo" below: Once the Download Limit has been removed, the game should download correctly when using the Xbox App.

On the right hand side, click on "Data Usage" & it will take you to a new page that says "Data usage" at the top, further down you will see "Data Limit" & underneath this if you see "Edit Limit" or "Remove Limit" (IF you dont see "Remove Limit" then you already dont have a limit, in which case the game should download in the Xbox App) click on "Remove Limit", this is just as it says, it will now remove any download limits that Windows itself or anyone else has set on your PC (mine was set to have a limit by default & that is why Forza Horizom would only download 20-30%). Last part of hopeful fix is to go to "Settings" in Windows - click the start button, then type in "settings" & the settings icon will appear, now click on it to open Settings (its a blue box icon with a white cog icon in the middle) Now in Settings click on "Network & Internet" (it may load for a couple of seconds) make sure you are on the "Status" tab (tabs are on the left side where it has Status, Ethernet, Dial-Up etc) if not already on the "Status Tab" then click on it now. (it was the reason why the Xbox App would now start downloading the game (better than Microsoft Store) but slow down & stop at around 20-30% of the download.) Just remeber to make SURE you Only use the Xbox App & NOT the Microsoft Store to download your games! So second part of my fix if the Xbox App alone didnt fully solve your issue, OR if you were already using the Xbox App:Ģ) This is an issue with Windows 10 "Data Limit" or Download Limit & "removing" this limit as that is what was now capping my downloads & stopping games from downloading. Download it here if you dont have it already: ĭownloading the games using this Xbox App may have fixed your issue itself (If so congrats) but for me I went from the "Microsoft Store" not downloading the game at all & being stuck at 0% & then giving me an error, to now the Xbox App actually downloading Forza Horizon 4 but getting stuck at around 20-30%. IF like me you are trying to download & install Forza/Horizon (or ANY other Microsoft game)using the "Microsoft Store" Dont! Instead you NEED to download & use the "Xbox App" for Windows, which is just like like "Steam" or the "Epic Games Store" with a games library for all your Microsoft games on Windows. I finally fixed this issue for myself & it may not work for others, BUT, for those people I found several other supposed fixes on other posts (none of them worked for me) so I will include those other fixes by copy/pasting them at the end/bottom of this hopeful fix Just to help keep them all in one spot, again, those other fixes will be at the end/bottom of my method.įirstly I will say I've never had ANY issues with downloading anything else on my PC, only Forza & Forza Horizon which I'm now certain is because it runs through the Microsoft Store which uses the SAME download settings/limits as "Windows Updates". My issue was with Forza Motorsport 7 & Forza Horizon 3 & 4 on Windows 10, I had them installed a year or so ago but since did a new install of Windows 10 on a new hard drive & when trying to install again the Download would either hang at 0% of I would get an error saying it failed to download.
